The Ibogaine Dossier is the web's oldest and largest depository of information on ibogaine. With the passing years, the number and scope of articles in our library have increased dramatically often leaving visitors to the Dossier with a sense of loss as to where to begin and what to read.

It is our hope the tours will assist you in obtaining an understanding of ibogaine's history, science, value and use through our new guided tour section. New tours will be offered on a regular basis.

Africa
  1. Bwiti: An Ethnography of the Religious Imagination in Africa by James W. Fernandez contains a superb account of the ibogaine experience in the West-African Bwiti society.

  2. The Religion of Iboga or the Bwiti of the Fangs Dr. P. Barabe's paper of on the Bwiti religion of Gabon includes marvelous quotes from popular literature.

  3. The Gollnhofer Collection Selected photographs of the late Otto Gollnhofer of Bwiti rites and practices. This series of photographs was provided as a gift.

  4. Georgio Samorini's The Bwiti Religion and the psychoactive plant Tabernanthe iboga (Equatorial Africa). Originally published in Integration, 5: 105-114.

  5. Sazy's photographs of the Bwiti can only be described as amazing. Take the time to enjoy this wonderful and exciting collection of photographs.

Psychotherapy
  1. Ibogaine: Fantasy and Reality, Claudio Naranjo's chapter on ibogaine from his out of print book, The Healing Journey. An interesting view of ibogaine psychotherapy. A new Introduction by Naranjo as well as a Foreword by Lotsof are included.

  2. The Use Of Psychedelics In Dutch Psychiatry 1950-1970: The Problem Of Continuity And Discontinuity. Stephen Snelder's wonderful account of the Dutch psychiatrists who established thre use of hallucinogens in medicine. science.

  3. Barbara E. Judd CSW discusses the need of psychotherapy in the Ibogaine treatment of substance-related disorders

  4. Howard S. Lotsof and Norma E. Alexander, Case Studies of Ibogaine Treatment: Implications for Patient Management Strategies. Discusses immediate and delayed psycholoical effects of ibogaine as well as, the signficance of visions during the ibogaine experience.

  4. Ibogaine Reports documents ibogaine presentations during the California Society of Addiction Medicine conference, The Invitational Conference on Drug User Actism and the Drug Policy Alliance conference.

Alper et al.'s review article of ibogaine effects on opioid withdrawal signs of subjects from the United States, The Netherlands and Panama over a period of three decades.   3. Bob Sisko's Treatment on Demand: Realistic Goal or Impossible Dream. Sisko was the founder of the International Coalition for Addict Self-Help (ICASH).

  4. In Memoriam Nico Adriaans, by Jean Paul Grund. Nico Adriaans was the founder and chairman of the "Rotterdamse Junkiebond" (Junkie Union), the first advocacy/activist User Group in the Netherlands as well as, one of the founders of DASH (Dutch Addict Self Help), an ibogaine activist organization.
